ADA Paratransit
Empire DM, Inc., is the best in its class offering nationwide ADA Paratransit Services. ADA Paratransit service is required by the federal Americans Disabilities Act and is provided for customers whose disability or health condition prevents them from using fixed route services for some or all of their travels. Paratransit services is the general term for a demand response services in which passenger must reserve a ride in advance, Paratransit vehicles make only pre-arranged trips for eligible riders. Empire DM, Inc., Paratransit transportation is offered by van or minibus to groups and is organized to promote mobility. This service is offered to all Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) Facilities, Adult Day treatment centers, Dialysis centers, Work programs and Nursing homes. Medicaid Preferred Vendor

When a Medicaid beneficiary has a medical condition that necessitates a form of transport other than public transit or personal vehicle, Medicaid will pay for transportation to and from the services covered by the Medicaid program.
Empire DM, Inc., Medicaid paid transportation is offered by van or minibus to individuals or groups and is organized to promote Medicaid beneficiary ease of mobility. Medicaid Ambulatory Taxi Services
Ambulatory (those able to walk) Medicaid Recipients can elect to receive Empire DM, Inc., Door-to-Door Ambulatory Taxi Services. Late model minivans and sedans are used to transport ambulatory Medicaid Recipients to and from the services covered by the Medicaid program. Medicaid enrollment and authorization of taxi and livery service is required to ensure that Medicaid enrollees used the means of transportation most appropriate to their medical needs. Orders for taxi/livery services shall be made in advance by either the enrollee or the enrollee’s medical provider. Medicaid Non-Ambulatory (Wheelchair-Bound) – Ambulette Services
Wheelchair-Bound (Non-Ambulatory) Medicaid Recipients can elect to receive Empire DM, Inc., Door-to-Door Non-Ambulatory Services via ambulette. Late model ambulettes are used to transport Non-Ambulatory (those that are wheelchair-bound, use a walker or use crutches) Medicaid Recipients to and from the services covered by the Medicaid program. Medicaid enrollment and authorization of non-emergency ambulette service is required to ensure that Medicaid enrollees use the means of transportation most appropriate to their medical needs. Orders for non-emergency ambulette services shall be made in advance by either the enrollee or the enrollee’s medical provider. Medicaid Group Rides: New York State Medical Answering Service (MAS)
Empire DM, Inc. is a New York State Preferred Medicaid Transportation Provider and is also a Medical Answering Service (MAS) Non-Emergency Medicaid Transportation Service Provider serving counties in Central New York and the Southern Tier of New York State. Medicaid Enrollees that are eligible for Medicaid transportation must qualify on a needs basis to get transportation to and from medical appointments under the New York State Department of Health Program scheduled by the Medical Answering Service (MAS). Intercampus Shuttle Service
Empire DM, Inc., intercampus connections are offered to local colleges and health centers to provide transportation to and from their locations. Empire DM, Inc., offers campus students shuttles to local shopping centers, sporting events and recreational outings. We also offer shuttle services for health care providers to locations on local hospital campuses upon request.
