Empire DM, Inc., operates passenger vans and wheelchair lift-equipped vans and buses – providing door-to-door transportation to elderly and disabled people who are unable to use Regional Transit Systems in our service areas – Central and Southern Tier New York. Empire DM, Inc., offers both full time and part time drivers’ shifts including weekend work; moreover, unlike school bus operators, our drivers work year-round and overtime is permissible.Our late model fleet of vehicles is maintain to the highest industry standards for your driving comfort and safety – and that of our clients. Please be able to meet the following requirements:
> Have a valid New York State Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with passenger endorsement (P).> Be able to become a New York State 19A Certified Driver within three weeks of employment.
> Be capable of passing background checks
> Pass the medical examination and drug tests
> Be capable of lifting 50 pounds.
> Communicate effectively in English
> Comprehend and operate a two-way radio
> Understand safety and automobile manuals and road maps
> Be able to use a GPS system on an iPad
